Adolescence, self-concept and gender socialization
The psychologist Maddi Berasategi Salsamendi, with extensive experience in intervening with young people and adolescents in the socio-educational field, reflects on the Final Degree Project “High Intellectual Abilities, more than just being smart: adolescent girls with High Intellectual Abilities and their self-concept” made by Naroa Martos Sanchez and directed by Ana Aierbe Barandiaran.
This work with a gender perspective has been awarded in the VII edition of the Fracisca de Aculodi Awards granted by the Direction for Equality of the UPV/EHU.
In the first video, the similarities and differences in the level of self-concept of adolescents are analyzed.
In the second video, the self-concept of teenage girls with High Intellectual Abilities and their families is discussed.
In the third and last video, the advantages and disadvantages of the intervention program “Promoting the healthy adaptation of our adolescents” proposed by Patricio José Ruiz Lázaro (1998) are described.
